Renting the DSB550 boat
The DSB550 is a spacious boat with enough room for up to 8 people and is equipped with an 8hp outboard motor. This boat is easy to handle and a licence is not necessary. Comfortably furnished with cushions, you will immediately feel at ease to sit back and enjoy the ride. The boarding point is located in Oostzaan which is easily accessible from Purmerend, Assendelft, Zaandam and Landsmeer and free parking is available.

Surroundings
We will provide a route map on arrival, which will take you via the Oostzanerveld to the Jagersplas and then back via Zaandam. The route takes approx. 2.5 hours (without breaks)
Oostzanerveld
From the boarding point you will directly enter the Oostzanerveld, a beautiful protected nature reserve. You will be able to spot numerous birds and wild animals in this peaceful area. So be sure to bring your binoculours! Oyster catchers, herrons, lapwings, swallows and various breeds of geese are abundent in this area. Occasionaly you will see Egrets, storks and hares. Canoeing is another great way to experience the flora and fauna of this area from closeby.
Jagersplas
The Jagersplas is located in the Jagersveld, which is a haven for sunseekers when the weather is good. This is Holland at it’s best, when all the boat loving Dutch get out on the water.
It’s possible to moor your boat at the lake and take a refreshing dip in the water or relax on the grassy bank and watch the world go by.
Zaandam
The route continues via Zaandam back to the starting point. See Holland from the other side as you pass the many houses with well kept gardens alongside the waters edge.
